Marion More was the sixth child and third daughter born to Andrew Robert More and Jeanette Allan Weir. She was born in 1852 while her family was living in Ottawa Township, Waukesha County, Wisconsin. The next year, she would have moved with her family to Palmyra, Jefferson County, Wisconsin for five years, and then in the spring of 1858, the family moved to Pilot Grove Township in Faribault County, Minnesota, where they settled for good.

On the 1860 Federal Census, she was 8 years old and living on her parent's farm in Pilot Grove Township along with her six siblings ranging in age from 20 to two months.

She was 18 years old and still with her parents and three siblings in Pilot Grove Township on the 1870 Federal Census. We assume she was helping with domestic duties at that time.

On the 1875 Minnesota State Census, she was age 23 and living with her parents and two siblings (James 25 and Eddie 15) - as well as a nephew (Freddie Manthie 13).

Nothing in research was found beyond this point by the author or other researchers of the family. We assume she must have died after 1875 and before 1880 as she was not found on that census. We do know that on the 1900 Federal Census, it indicates that her mother had given birth to seven children and five children were still living. We know that her brother, James, died in 1897 and all other siblings except for Marion could be accounted for as living in 1900. Additionally, on the 1895 Memorial Record of Faribault County, Minnesota, she was listed as deceased at that time. However, we have not found a death record or burial site. One would assume that she would have been buried in Pilot Grove Cemetery during that stretch and likely was the first in her family to die, but this has not been found and so remains a mystery.
