Margaret G. Miller, age 94, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Margaret was born on November 29, 1921 in Pulaski Co. KY, to the late Luther and Allie Phelps Ping. Margaret was a cook for the Pulaski County School System for many years, she loved being in her vegetable and flower garden, taking care of her yard and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Pitman Creek Baptist Church Ladies Club, the church custodian for 45 years, and loved her church and church family.
She is survived by a son, Carl “Sonny” (and Darlene) Miller of Somerset; three grandchildren, Scott (and Debbie) Miller, Karla Price (and Daniel Nelson), Melody (and Kirk) Stickley; four great-grandchildren, Jordan (and Elizabeth) Miller, Caleb (and Andy) Price, Matthew (and Tara) Cook, Ethan Jones, and Stephanie Price; two great-great-grandchildren, Maddox David Cook and Graham Scott Miller.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Manford Miller, who she married in 1937 and preceded her in death in May 1979; a daughter, Geraldine Ramsey; a brother, Carl Ping, and two sisters, Ruth Meece, and Pauline Farmer.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 18, 2016 after 5:00pm, and Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 11:00am until time of service at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte and Bro. Scott Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Clay Hill Cemetery.
