Elizabeth Winifred Jessie More was the oldest daughter of Andrew Russell More (1866 - 1912) and Alberta Luella More (1868 - 1928). Beth was born in Pilot Grove Township, Faribault County, Minnesota on July 22, 1897.

Beth attended country schools, and on December 3, 1919, she married Arnold Herman Hanna (October 2, 1897 - November 9, 1948). Beth and Arnold Hanna had six children (Irene, Wayne, Arlin, Lois, Gerald, and Shirley). When they were first married, they lived with Beth's brother, George and his family - and they farmed. Later, they moved to Blue Earth, and the 1930 Federal Census shows her husband, Arnold, working for the Highway Department there. Her sister, Marian, was also living with the family then. Beth was a homemaker and worked in their home and cared for the family.

Beth was involved in their church, and owned a good bit of land that she had inherited from her parents when they died. This land was rented for a number of years to her niece, Joyce More Ripley and her husband, Richard. This was a good source of income for her since her husband passed away long before she did.

Arnold passed away on November 9, 1948 and was buried at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, Faribault County, Minnesota. Beth passed away a number of years later at age 67 on March 4, 1965 and was buried next to her husband at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth.
