Arlin Harold Hanna was the second son and third child of Elizabeth Winifred Jessie More (1897 -1965) and Arnold Herman Hanna (1898 -1948). He was born on July 13, 1925 at Elmore, Faribault County, Minnesota. Arlin was raised and educated in Blue Earth, Minnesota, where he attended high school and graduated from Blue Earth High School. He married Muriel Eve Narum (12/13/1928) on November 10, 1950. They had three daughters (Melody, Joy, and Beth).

For ten years following high school, Arlin worked in construction before starting to work for L&M Motors in Blue Earth in 1951, where he was an autobody technician for 39 years. He retired in 1990.

Arlin passed away on June 23, 2000 at age 74 at Blue Earth, Faribault County, Minnesota. He was buried at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Arlin's wife, Muriel, currently lives in New Hope, Minnesota.
