Hannah was the 2nd of 12 children born to Charles & Ann Rendall, and the first one born in America after they had immigrated from England. She taught school until she was 28 to help support the family. She and husband Silas settled on a farm 5 miles from Blue Earth, MN. They were a strong Methodist couple.
