Lois Alberta Hanna was the second daughter and fourth child of Elizabeth Winifred Jessie More (1897-1965) and Arnold Herman Hanna (1898 -1948). She was born in Blue Earth, Faribault County, Minnesota on May 24, 1929. She attended schools in Blue Earth, Minnesota, and graduated from high school there. After high school, she was employed in a store in Blue Earth for awhile. She married a farmer, Willardean Albert Johnson (2/28/1925 - 11/23/1997) on September 16, 1951. They had a daughter (Judienne) and adopted a son (Shannon). Lois and her husband first lived near Rake in Winnebago County, Iowa, and then farmed near Frost in Faribault, County, Minnesota until 1965. At that point, they moved to Freeborn County in Moscow Township - not far from Austin, Minnesota. They were members of the Moscow Lutheran Church there. Lois passed away at age 53 on January 25, 1983 in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and was buried at Moscow Lutheran Church Cemetery near Austin, Minnesota. Her husband, Willard, passed away on November 23, 1997. |
