Gerald Furness Hanna was the youngest son of Elizabeth Winifred Jessie More (1897 - 1965) and Arnold Herman Hanna (1898 -1948). Gerald was born in Blue Earth, Faribault County, Minnesota on March 20, 1931. He attended schools in Blue Earth, Minnesota and graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1949.

Gerald served in the US Army in Korea, and attained the rank of Corporal. He entered service on February 8, 1952. He married Barbara Ann Wulff (11/21/1938) on October 8, 1961. They had two children (Scott and Bethany). Gerald worked in a Bank in the Twin Cities for most of his working career. Gerald helped both his mother and Aunt Marian with their land rental and records.

Gerald passed away on May 30, 1999 at age 68 at St Louis Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was buried as a veteran at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in the Twin Cities. His wife, Barbara, is currently living in Shakopee, Minnesota with their daughter, Bethany.
