grew upon a farm west of Blue Earth, where he helped on the barnyard and fields while also excelling in school. Co-valdictorian of his class, Stan went to St Olaf college and then to Yale University where he studied architecture and city planning.
New Haven is also where he met his wife and life-long companion, Millie. Thier 57 years of marriage began in Dwight chapel on the Yale campus. Stan later moved to Guilford CT, where he designed and built a home on Lover's Lane. While living on the shoreline, Stan continued in his profession as a planner. He worked for more than 26 years for the Connecticut River Estuary Regional Planning Agency currently based in Old Saybrook.
He explored foreign lands, drew building plans, made scale models, grew orchids, collected first editions, studied history, shaped bonsai, tended goldfish, grew vegetables and perennials, painted water colors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Helen Greimann and his brother Wesley Greimann.
He is survived by his wife, Millie of N Branford CT; his children Garth (Lindsay) Greimann, Amy (reed) Carlson, Eric Greimann |
