Louis Sorenson, 82, of Nevada, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 1984, at the Story County Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the First Assembly of God Church in Nevada with Rev. T. Dale Brumback officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
Sorenson was born to John and Carrie (Haaland) Sorenson in Garden City on April 16, 1901. He attended school in rural Garden City.
He was married to Sarah Farrington on Nov. 22, 1945 in Nevada. He is a retired farmer, worked several years for Nate Levin in a salvage yard and also worked for the Nevada Cemetery. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; two sons, John Sorenson of Nevada and Bill Farrington of Amarillo, Tex.; one daughter, Mary Nerness of Webster City; one brother, Arnie Sorenson of Marshall, Minn.; one sister, Ada Hill of Radcliffe; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. |
