Salvation Army officer, lived in Honolulu with Faith. They both perished in a hotel fire in Rochester, MN while visiting the Mayo Clinic. Their gravestones indicate they were missionaries in the Philippine Islands, and Simon Robert Rendall's autobiography indicates that they were bound for Australia to retire.
