Michael L. 'Mike' Persinger -- Oronoco Mon, Oct 30, 2006
ORONOCO -- The funeral for Michael L. "Mike" Persinger will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester, with the Rev. David A. Berg officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, where there will be a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Persinger, 52, of Oronoco, died of natural causes Thursday (Oct. 26, 2006) at his home.
Born Nov. 12, 1953, in Blooming Prairie, he grew up in Glenville, Minn. He moved to Rochester when he was a teenager and graduated from Mayo High School. He was an automobile salesman and worked for a number of local car businesses. Later he owned and operated his own car lot business. In 1976 he married Chris Hust, and they later divorced. He wintered in Arizona and enjoyed hunting, fishing and following the Vikings and Twins.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Persinger of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Allison (Jesse) Sheehan of Rochester; two sons, Michael J. of Arizona and Andrew of Rochester; three grandchildren; his parents, Lynn and Carol Persinger of Austin; a brother, Steve (Diane) of Austin; three sisters, Sandra (Andy Douglas) Perleberg of Chicago, Diana (Dennis) Oakland of Albert Lea and Nancy (Phillip) Wallin of Glenville; and special friend, Becky Sexton. |
