The couple farmed at Route 1, Waupun, for 43 years until they retired in 1970.

Mr. McDowell is survived by his widow; a son, David of Waupun; a daughter, Susan McDowell of West Bend; three brothers, Earl of Beaver Dam and Robert Sr. and Edward of Waupun, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald in 1966, and a sister.
